New Year's Resolutions

I'm waiting to shut the final door on this past year's worries and welcome in 2010. How can the new one be an improvement because the weight of last years debts accummulate interest as I type. Yep, this blog is suppose to be free so no expensive counseling for me. My husband and daughter have too many worries of their own. My New Years Resolution is this blog. Let it all out. My frustration, tears, and anxiety are falling upon stranger's eyes. This idea came from reading a suggestion to base my resolution on my birth sign recommendations. Yep, I'm feeling less blue as I type and relieved that I am not guilty of making anyone else blue.

  1. The dishes are whirling in the dishwasher. The Yankie pork and sauerkraut good luck meal is finished, so bring it on. Time for the Good Luck to begin.
Wait... weren't the Germans called Krauts during World War II and we know that kraut wasn't lucky then..so why would my Irish Momma make us eat kraut at midnight for good luck? Her family of 10 children were very lucky and we are all holding our own today...so I served Kraut too.
For $25.02 in groceries, I spent 2 cents plus a Target gift card. I swapped my daughter's
Target card for my Barnes and Nobel. Getting gift cards instead of wrapped packages is rather disappointing, but they came in handy. Our checking accounts and credit cards are over drawn. My work Walmart and husband Walmart gift cards combined $40.00, covered 6 days of smokes for him, but he has still several weeks until payday. I'm trying to keep him from donating his medicare allotment to his bank in overdraft fees. Oh yes go nuts at Christmas. I am glad I paid my monthly bills before shopping so at least the bill collectors will stop ringing the phone off the hook.

  2. Today I withdrew money that I will pay an overdraft fee for whenever all the checks clear, but my husband's entertainment, gas and food are a necessity until payday.

  3. In response to YOU taking my TV channels away:

I understand times are hard and we are just taking things one step at a time. Money is not easy to come by...if only that green paper really did grow on trees. But then again neither one of us were really great at planting and "harvesting". Knowing me the plant would die in just a few days...like the plant in my bathroom (right next to the sink) i'v been meaning to water.

BTW- Gas and food are a necessity. Dads entertainment is nonnagotiable and your daughters entertainment is now in the form of a puppy...not the channels she has come to know and love on television...T_T. Beo is soooo cute the way he jumps and pulls on the leash when you walk him. When he jumps on Buster in that playful way. Poor Buster... He's even cute when hes chewing up my arm ^_^ lol.

There is more to life than whats on tv and with classes coming up who would have time to watch anyways.

Things will get better soon. With love.
    Your Daughter
