" All I want for Christmas is a puppy."
I'm an ole softy and try to make sure my only daughter receives her Christmas wish each year. She was a very helpful sweet nuturing girl last year. I would have lost what little is left of my mind without her support.
The price was right, only $3.00 to adopt a pet from the Richardson Animal Shelter.
Sounds like my daughter is torturing her new puppy, Beo, by holding him when he wants down. Beo is a very loud talkative, 8month old, Saint Retreiver mix who chews on everything and everybody. He dug up a house plant, shredded a christmas card, and stole Buster's bone. Buster, our Akata, is teaching him important lessons: "I'm the boss. Don't mess with my tail or food, Walk with the leash, go out front or back.. not in the house."

Beo barks to go out and to be let back in. He barks to get up on the bed or in your lap. Yep, he barks and barks. At the shelter his barking told me..."Get me out of here!" This morning our Akita 106 lbs was dreaming. He was growling and moving his legs on the floor. Beo quietly walked up, bit the dog on the ear, then ran and hid. He playfully bites my daughters arms and feet. His little teeth hurt and leave scratches. Sometimes I wonder...was I nuts, but cuddling him while he is quietly sleeping is such a joy that he makes the mess and bites worth while at this time.
