Suppression

All my life, I've suppressed my words so that they caused no pain.
All my life, I've suppressed my tears not to appear foolish and weak.

All my life, I've gone quietly biting my tongue
preventing words being spoken that can't be unsaid.

But now these thoughts are jumbled up inside my brain
an explosion of wrath  will set them free
Unspoken words will erupt uncontrolablely.
Causing hurt and pain to those I love
Fences erected and a cold war ensues
Between me and you of guarding our tongue
wishing words were left unsung
But I don't want to be quiet anymore.
The words are screaming in my brain
I can't be quiet anymore
STOP YELLING.   BE QUEIT.   SH....QUIET DOWN

It's time to speak, to let it out, to laugh and cry, argue and shout.
NO MORE SUPPRESSION.
Down with suppression.  Up with expression.

Express your love.  Express your fears.  Speak free.
This is America.
You've the right to express yourself just remember to watch your tongue.
Be politically correct.

So, bite your tongue before you speak
In case you offend a culture, a sex, a religion with your views.
Your boss, neighbor, and friends are judging you.
So bite your tongue.  It could cost you your job, spouce, or friendship too.

All my life, I've watched my thoughts and suppressed my words so that I do not offend.
The end....
